Survival and Cross Supports Northland Wrestling Team
As a large growing fitness brand with humble roots as a backyard small business company, Survival and Cross is always looking to help out in the surrounding community to give back. The team at Survival and Cross understands the importance of small beginnings because they have been there!
This week, Survival and Cross came across a great opportunity to support a local wrestling team based out of Northland high school located in Columbus Ohio. The school is celebrating 49 years of supporting the wrestling industry. In honor of their 49th year the wrestling team is raising $7,000 to purchase a new wrestling match for their room. The mat will allow them to host their own home matches and make practice much easier for the students.
Head coach, Nathan Wylder says, "It may sound crazy, but we currently have to borrow mats from other schools to host matches (imagine a football team having to borrow other schools' fields for "home games"). Having our own mat will also allow us to raise additional money in the off-season (by renting it out), and it would aid in the starting of our desperately needed middle school/novice feeder programs."
Survival and Cross decided to see this as a great opportunity to support the students and provide them with exercising equipment to aid in their workouts. The Survival and Cross team sent a total of 12 jump ropes to the wrestling team.
