Happy Monday, guys!
Have you ever felt like you’re always in competition with someone else and you felt like you are running on numbers because you can’t match up with their success?
Think about it this way, in this life,
“You are not in competition with anybody except yourself; plan to outdo your past, not other people.” - Jaachynma N.E. Agu, The Prince and the Pauper
Yes, it is a given fact that competition gives birth to a lot of success, and if no one ever challenged you, you wouldn't go anywhere. It makes sense to compete with others for a promotion at work. But so many men and women take it a step further and won't even support other men and women. Which they end up competing over things that don't make sense - like how we look, etc.
Start by changing yourself for the better. If you want things to change and fall into place, you should start by making a concrete plan on how you want to start fresh, setting your goals, then execute them. You can start off with the simple things, like making your house squeaky clean, start eating and serving healthy meals, hit the gym with friends or family. Create your own inner circle where you can share positive things and changes you made with your life and how you can inspire them in changing theirs too.
Remember, you don’t compete with anyone, but, it’s not a good thing to make them compete with you too. You can control what you put on yourself; you can’t control what the other guy puts on you. So you focus only on the internal pressure that drives you. Run to it, embrace it, feel it, so no one else can throw more at you than you’ve already put on yourself.
